Healing Anxiety and Trauma Through Wellness

Updated: Jul 11, 2025

Welcome, and thank you for spending your valuable time to visit my blog.

I envision this to be a place to share the healing approaches that I have found to be helpful over the course of my practice. These approaches combine the most up-to-date neuroscience with the ancient wisdom of the various healing traditions from around the world.

Our natural state as humans is one of health. Over the course of our lives many factors can lead us to become out of balance. One's focus can then drift to become centered on illness, be it anxiety, depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, struggles with substances (to include food), or ADHD, and the suffering these produce. Shifting the focus back towards wellness can begin the process of accessing the state of innate health that lies within.

Each person’s path to healing is unique. A key is to find the approaches that resonate with you. There are so many medicines… compassion, breath, movement, plant, psychotherapy, prescription, and wisdom…. in this world with the power to heal. One of the most powerful ones can be spending time in nature. "The Woods are my church; in them, I find peace and renewal." - Mary Oliver

I will begin with healing from the latter category, wisdom:

“I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and beheld, service was joy.” - Rabindranath Tagore

I hope that I may be in joyful service to you in your healing going forward. I value the opportunity to share all these with you here.
